This is my escape room blog. I am a New Zealander who has done over 250 rooms throughout New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and the USA. I have worked in the IT industry all my working life and work for a Mobile Carrier in New Zealand for the last couple of years. I run a number of Domain Names such as http://www.unlockit.co.nz which set mobile Carrier settings for iPhones. (Don't worry if you don't understand about this)

Review: Jurassic Lab @ Xcape Melbourne

Company: Xcape Melbourne Website:  http://www.xcapemelbourne.com/ Rooms: Jurassic Lab Address: 1/306 Albert St, Brunswick VIC 3056 On the weekend of the 25th of May I flew to Melbourne to do a number of escape rooms over 2 days. One of the escape rooms I did was Xcape Melbourne. This is unrelated to Xcape in Sydney. I knew nothing about it, had read no reviews apart from Tripadvisor/Google ( I don't think there are any other ) so had no idea what to expect. I was traveling with another escape room owner so we had previously contacted Xcape to see if we could get any kind of discount on Retail rates (which are pretty high per person) and they said they didn't do that. We then went onto groupon and got tickets at under 1/2 price. We (4 of us) got there a little early so we had to wait, they checked the groupon voucher and we went into the room. The room is listed as Difficulty 5/5 with 2-6 people. We were quite underwhelmed. The escape area (a few connected rooms)  mo...

The latest (only) escape room in Manly recently opened and a group of us went to see what all the hype was about. We decided to do this room (the only room open at the time) and as well we were offered to beta test their other room Entombed as well. Both Rooms are now open. After a short video introduction, we got straight into the room. The starting room is small but you'd expect that being a stylized dunny, but after that, there was plenty of room to do our stuff. Some interesting puzzles including physical locks but they didn't detract from what the r...
