Top 5 Escape Room Companies in New Zealand (March 2019)

This list is based on my experiences of playing at least one room (or all of the rooms) at each of these companies in New Zealand. My last list was a year ago and I have been to more rooms within NZ and Overseas.

I have played near 150 rooms in total in New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada and  Singapore.

- Great story and impressive theming.

Rotofobia (Rotorua)                http://www.rotofobia.co.nz

- A unique setting of an entire house converted in multiple escape rooms with the only R18 escape room in New Zealand or Australia.

Crate Escape (Christchurch)   http://www.crateescape.co.nz

- Based in a couple of shipping containers converted to some escape rooms with some unique themes.

Escape Quest (Queenstown)   http://www.escapequest.co.nz

- A group of rooms in central Queenstown with a running theme of the history of the Gold rush in Queenstown.

Perplexity (Hamilton)               http://www.perplexity.co.nz

- Impressive rooms with the only cow based escape room that I have come across.
